On December 3rd, we had Andrew's birthday party at our humble abode. He invited close family and friends and we just had a really great time. He was basically on cloud nine the whole night. He was super happy everyone came and he was equally stoked about all his presents, especially all the Tutti Frutti gift cards and his gift card to Lil B's Sweet Tooth (his favorite candy shop).
We both got up early to clean. I also wanted to get started on his bunting.
I cut out a bunch of triangular flags and strung them up with yellow yarn. They looked super cute. I did about 5 strings of bunting and I got tired. It was a nice touch though. I usually just tape up streamers and stuff but I wanted to do something special for his day.
My Mom ordered lumpia for his party so two hours before it started so we went to the Filipino restaurant in Montgomery World Plaza down the street and it was buck wild. There was probably about over 50 Filipinos in this restaurant. I think there was a birthday party going on but we eventually got the lumpia and he wanted to walk around and reminisce about the time when he was young and how his Mom and Grandma used to bring him there when he was a wee one. I also remembered when my Nanang would take us there to go shopping when my Brother and I were younger as well. We passed the first escalator he rode which was mine as well. Then we found an arcade, Jimmy's Arcade, which has been relocated many times throughout our existence and Andrew couldn't stop looking at all the old school games.

We also went to Smart and Final to get some beer and a huge can of nacho cheese along with a big ole bag of chips. Oh yeah, and a big jar of jalapeƱos.
When we finally got home Andrews sister and niece were already in the front to deliver a cake his sister got custom made. The cake was super cool! It was a snare drum and the detail was just really spot on.
Every year for his birthday Andrew's Mom always makes these awesome twice baked potatoes and so his sister came to deliver those as well as some chicken jambalaya. The first batch of potatoes were devoured as soon as his sister put them on the table. Lil John came our too and he was very entertaining to all the folks who were hanging out.
Here's the video of us all singing Happy Birthday to him.
Here's some pictures of his night. My Mom eventually showed up too, it was really sweet of her!
As time rolled on, there was a little party forming in the kitchen. At one point, Scott karaoke Third Eye Blind and it was hilarious.
As the party died down, someone took over the TV and put on South Park, but Andrew wanted to end his night watching Robocop. So Jeff, Biscuits amd his lady stayed and watched a little bit and then took off.
Thank you to everyone who came and made Andrew's night a fun one!
