I remember leaving the Spainhowards' on Christmas Eve night and being in the car, rambunctiously anxious to get home and ravage those pretty packages under the tree.
Andrew asked me, "What time do you think Santa will come?"
It was around 10:30pm.
I answered excitedly, "11."
Then we got home and I tried to calm myself down because I wanted to wait til midnight.
But silly Andrew insisted we open our gifts.
Funny how Christmas makes you act and feel like little, silly, happy keeedz.
We took turns opening gifts because we both wanted to enjoy our reactions too.
Lots of grins, thank you's, hugs, kisses, picture taking and "Merry Christmas Boo!" were exchanged between the both of us.

He got me Katamari Forever, a new digicam and a gorilla pod. Gaaah! The last present I opened took me off guard because it wasn't on my Santa list. I had no clue what it was. He picked out a very classy diva wallet made by Rebecca Minkoff, small enough for me to put in my back pocket that also had a chain where I can attach my keys. It's black and the texture looks like shiny snakeskin. He noticed that I've been using my small tattered plaid pocket wallet that I got from Anchor Blue almost 10 years ago and he wanted to replace it with a diva one.
So thoughtful and I love it!
Even though he got his Christmas present early (I helped him get a record he really wanted), I still wanted him to have something to open on Christmas. I got him a nose/beard/hair trimmer (I always hear him wanting one of these), a Chemex, and a stocking full of all his favorite old timer candy from Lil B's. I was relieved he was really stoked about the Chemex I got him. He brought it with him to work the next day to try it out. He said it makes a really nice cup of joe.
Then I got sad for a second because I knew my time with our Christmas tree would soon come to an end. Haha, I'm a sap!
Then we headed to Bill and Sheryl's house for Christmas treats.
Mmm...Mama's hot chocolate, sugar cookies, and pumpkin cheesecake
We didn't leave their house until around 2:30am. I had to get home though. I had to take my Mom to church early in the morning.
Andrew had me go into the backyard as soon as we walked through the door because he had to prepare "something that Santa left". Ahh, I was super excited! When he called me in, there was a stocking sitting on the sofa! It had lotto scratchers, a Christmas Hello Kitty plushie holding a Forever 21 gift card, a big bottle of Fat Tire beer, American Spirits and a Hello Kitty Pez dispenser. Jim-ah-nee! Then I teared up like a big baby, haha. I didn't expect to receive so much this Christmas. I was just really overwhelmed and humbled about how giving and thoughtful Andrew was and especially for his Christmas spirit. =)
Finally, I think I went to bed around 3:30am because I wanted to watch TV and I think I was hyped up on sugar and coffee.
I woke up at 7am Christmas morning (numb from lack of Z's), got ready, picked up my Mom and then we went to Christmas Mass. She had the priest bless her and pray that her surgery on Wednesday will go well (and it did, thank God). We also saw Bill for a minute. He didn't look good at all. Usually he's dressed up in his Christmas best, but he looked all disheveled and looked like he lost a lot of weight which is not a good sign. He wished us a Merry Christmas and took off.
Then my Mom scared me because she freaked out and started pointing to the church steps. When I turned my head I just saw a body lying flat on the concrete, right in front of the steps. I shot out of the car and screamed, "Are you OK?!" Thank God she was responsive. This old lady slipped on the ice and fell flat on her face. I helped her up and she thanked me. She took a few minutes to compose herself and then she continued into the church. That was scary but she was lucky. She could have ended up like my Mom, with a broken ankle or worse.
We then went to visit my Tatang. He couldn't stop crying because he hates seeing my Mom in pain, on crutches with a cast on. She tried to console him, assured him she was going to be OK and the surgery is going to help her walk again. I tried to cheer him up by taking pictures and making him smile.

Then we went to my parents' Restaurant. My Dad had cooked us breakfast: eggs, rice, longaniza, and bacon. It was yummy!
When I got home, Andrew was still in bed with Ptolemy.
This was a cute photo I snapped of them.
I probably got to close my eyes for ten minutes and then Andrew got up. He made coffee and then we put on "Home Alone." I probably got through half of the movie and then I knocked out.
Then we went got ready and went back to Bill and Sheryl's for Christmas Dinner.
Drool...everything tasted so delicious!
Sheryl fed the Pups treats.

Andrew played some drums.
Ghetto came with us and then Timmerman met us there.

Then we came home, enjoyed my Fat Tire and played video games (Katamari Forever and Limbo) until I was sleepy.
I had a very nice Christmas and I hope everyone did too!
