Here's to the New Year!

New Years Eve we were pretty much lazy all day. My Mom had been staying with us since her ankle surgery on the 28th and it has been really nice to spend so much time with her! She had been enjoying herself, lounging on the sofa, getting rest and watching all her favorite shows. Plus, we watched movies and pigged out on some really good grub. I was really tired that day so I was really happy Ashley and Scott were having a get together at their house. A nice and quiet one.

Before we went to their house, we wanted to have lil Boo dinner celebration. So, he took us to the Noodle Bar down the street. I asked my Mom if she was going to be OK by herself during New Years Eve and she said she was OK, was going to watch TV and just rest up. Andrew ordered Tom Kha soup and he had the grilled salmon. I ordered a big bottle of Singha and teriyaki chicken (it was OK).

Then we went to Ramco to get some beer and Andrew got some scratchers. You know what? Andrew won $50 smackers on a ticket. He bought the ticket with his winnings from the scratchers I gave him on Christmas. Yay! He's so lucky!

We went back to check on my Mom and she was knocked out from the medication. Then we went to see Bill and Sheryl. Bill just got off of work and Sheryl was at Steph's so Andrew played some drums for a little bit and then we took off to Ashley and Scott's.

It was a nice quiet get together. It was perfect, especially I was so tired and I didn't really feel like being at a bar or some crazy house party. I watched them play Apples to Apples (the sour version) until countdown.

Then countdown happened. Here was that moment:

After countdown, Andrew and I gave everyone hugs, we said our goodbyes and checked out for the night. He had work in the morning and plus I felt bad my Mom was by herself during countdown. When we got home, Ptolemy totally punked her by eating all her crackers and getting a hold of her oranges while she was asleep! He's so mean! But we had a good laugh about the whole thing haha.

We watched a little TV with my Mom before we hit the hay and that was the start of our New Years Day.

I hope everyone had a really great New Years!
