I got a haircut Saturday morning. I had a promotional package from Christmas for the Hair Jungle so I finally used one of my visits. It took me forever to find the salon, though. The place is off of Coffee Road and for some reason I thought it was in the InShape shopping center. Man was I wrong. It was actually right across the street from InShape close to a tire place, tucked away in a tiny little corner of this office building. The stylist who was assigned to me was named Jeanie and I think she did a pretty nice job. Plus, she was really nice so she made me feel comfortable. I didn't know what I wanted, but I knew I was getting annoyed with my hair so I just told her to cut it shorter and that's how my hair turned out. It reminds me of Phoebe Cates' hair in Drop Dead Fred, ha =)
Later that Saturday, Andrew and I got a massage from our friend Jeanne. She brought her massage chair to our house and we got our neck, shoulders, back and arms done. She's got very strong hands. My problem areas are my shoulders and my arms. I was almost in tears when she tried to relieve some tension in my lower arms. I've had these numbing sensations and pain come and go for the last five years. My old Polga Instructor showed me some yoga stretches that I could do everyday to help slow down my development of Carpal Tunnel. I gotta get crackin' on those stretches! The massage was awesome! I felt liberated!

Poor Andrew's pain went away after Jeanne worked her magic on his problem areas. Unfortunately, the pain he's been experiencing will probably not be cured by an occasional massage. At the movie theater last night, his neck pain had taken a turn for the worst. He's been experiencing these burning sensations which shoot through his neck and head, leaving his whole body almost feverish. We're thinking it might be a pinched nerve. Thankfully, he finally made the decision to see a doctor which I have been suggesting he'd do for the last 2 months. Hopefully everything will be OK, and there's a remedy for this torture he's been feeling.
Anyway, I hope everyone had a nice weekend! I've gotta get crackin' on finishing my posts about our trip! I dunno, maybe I'm going through a lackadaisical phase in my life or something...which I'm hoping is only temporary. I think we all feel under the weather sometimes, right? I thought the whole vacation would give me back some gusto, but surprisingly it did the opposite! Dangit!
And with that, I leave you with this:
RIP Diva Whitney!
