Random Recap

March 2.
Went to First Friday with Priscilla and picked up Erwin's The Plainest Plane's Plainest Pictorial Periodical Vol. 1. Andrew and I enjoyed it immensely! Grab one while you can! Then we hung out at Dagny's with Emily and I had a beer.

Next up was pizza at Five Star with Ashley, Scott, Alex, Kandi and Layla. We all went back to Dagny's for another beer. I had so much fun (as always) hanging out with everyone! Layla is just so cute! I seriously cannot believe how fast she's growing!

March 3.
Andrew worked. Met Priscilla at the gym. Picked up my cargo of vegetables.

Prepping Creamy Cauliflower Soup

Found a cauliflower soup recipe and attempted it. Mine didn't come out as creamy as hers. Although, I added cayenne pepper for a little kick and by golly it was scrumptious.

After Boo got off of work, we departed to Porterville where he had to pick up some records from guy who wanted us to meet him at a bar called Charlie's. The bar was off of the 65 in the middle of no where. Not gonna lie, I was kind of nervous going into the place. It was as if they took an abandoned barn and turned it into a bar. It was definitely an interesting bar, filled men and their cowboy outfits along with their lovely ladies, who all charmingly grazed the dance floor with their fancy line dancing moves. When the band played a slow song, couples waltzed and ballroom danced. They almost resembled couples ice skating without the ice skates. It was very impressive!

I bet my co-workers would love to hang out in this bar.

Sunday, I picked up my Mom for church and we went to Village Grill for breakfast.

She's been obsessed with YouTube lately and she showed me this video of Susan Boyle that she couldn't stop watching. That was the first time I've seen that video. Even Andrew knew who she was! Haha! Man she has an amazing voice!

March 9.
I had a nice quiet night in, so I bought me a nice tall bottle of beer and I made some baked flautas stuffed with with seasoned tilapia and cheese. I brought some to Andrew along with some black beans.

When Andrew closed, he picked me up and I went to Tutti Frutti with him, Ghetto and Kiesha.

March 10.
I met Priscilla at the gym. Picked up my vegetables.

Arugula Flowers

Pretty stoked about the arugula flowers. I want to make a creamy pesto out of it. Got some asparagus, yay! I've already eaten all of the oranges.

Messed with some nail polish.

Playing with nail polish

Practiced some piano. I haven't touched my piano in probably 6 months. Shame on me...

We ate at Jake's Tex Mex.

I thought this poster they had hanging up was pretty funny.

Then we went home to pick up the pups. Dog park time!

Boo wanted Jamba Juice so we went there first.

We had so much fun at the dog park. All the dogs were being so hilarious and playful. It made me happy to watch Ptolemy and Shawn expel all their energy. Sometimes I feel bad because they have so much energy that walks don't cut it. They need to be out in a big field and run a few laps at warp speed. It's the only way to truly tire them out. For a short pup, Ptolemy is actually a very fast runner. Shawn, is super fast as well. I don't know how many times she's escaped and I had to humiliatingly run after her.

March 11.
I woke up at 6:30am and went to church with my Mom. We stopped at Starbucks and had breakfast at IHOP. I had the garden crepes and they were pretty damn good! After, we picked up some flowers to place at my Nanang's grave. Today marks the 5th year she's been gone from this Earth and we all miss her so much. My Mom and I picked her out some beautiful chrysanthemums. We stayed at her gravesite for a while, said some prayers for her and just spent some time in silence.

I just want to say I love Andrew and my friends! They are so comforting, thoughtful and caring. They never fail to show me that they are always there for me to help me with whatever I'm dealing with. I'm very lucky to have them in my life =)

I visited with my Tatang after I dropped my Mom off at work. I brought him some coffee and wine. We watched some TV and then I went home. I tried to keep myself busy and did a lot of cleaning and almost 5 loads of laundry! Gah! Kept watching Big Bang Theory (I cannot get enough of this show, plus it makes me happy). I also bought some flowers to help motivate my cleaning. When everything was clean, I put them out in the living room.

Felt like buying flowers today

I really love them. They remind me of Dr. Suess for some reason. Look at that glass! That's the cleanest I've seen it in a while. Our place battles dust constantly, most of the time I forfeit the battle and just let the dust collect.

I was determined to finally cook these rutabagas I've been getting in my box of vegetables.

I found this recipe and it turned out super yummy!

Mashed Potatoes and Rutabagas

And that's all I can remember for now.

In less than 15 minutes, Ptolemy will be 3 years old. That's 28 in dog years.
I like how we're almost the same age.

I just took this picture.

Haha, I'm lying on the floor typing out this post and he just walked up to me and started licking my face as if he knew what I was typing.

My silly boy. I don't want you to grow up.
