Here are some tidbits of the week so far...
Behold, a snapshot of the candy Andrew passed out on Halloween night (he got the good shit!)
That night, we watched Halloween 4 and 5. Well, he did. I would just look up here and there at the screen because I started reading a book that I just cannot put down. The author's way with words is almost melodic and entrancing. I cannot remember the last time I've been so engrossed in a book.
Later that night, Andrew found a nasty cannibalistic snail feast going on in the front yard.
Fresh and Easy has these cheesecake treats in the pastry section. Andrew got us the ones that had chocolate and vanilla cheesecakes layered in a glass and they are very delectable.
I finished knitting a sweater for Ptolemy and it turned out really ugly. As you can see in the picture he was not pleased and refused to move when I put it on him. At least I tried!
We've been obsessed with this tea we got from World Market called Builder's Tea. We practically drink it every night with honey. I started sweetening my coffee with honey too, and it's become quite an obsession. Speaking of obsession, I cannot get enough of food blogs! Just the food photography alone makes my mouth water. These food bloggers who can make food look so pretty and scrumptious truly have a gift I wish I had. They make me want to try and cook EVERYTHING!
Also, is it just me or is everyone having a hard time adjusting to the time change? I cannot believe how tired I have been especially the last two days. I was so tired on Monday at work that I made a pot of coffee, went back to my desk, came back to fill my cup only to find that I had forgotten to put the carafe back on the hot plate. Which resulted in the coffee and grinds overflowing from the top and onto the counter. I'm not used to how dark it gets either when we get out of work. The back parking lot is super creepy at night time. It's a good thing I don't close alone.
And last but not least, yesterday I voted right after I got out of work. My polling location had 2 precincts so when I arrived, there was a line out the door. Thank God, the table I belonged to didn't have any line and I was in and out. It was practically down the street too so that was cool. Look how tired I am in that voting picture! Ha!
Need a laugh? Will Ferrel's tweets have been cracking me up lately.
I cannot wait for this weekend to get here already. I feel like this whole week has been dragging along and it's been hot! I am very impatient waiting for winter's arrival. But I hear it's right around the corner. Starting Friday, in fact. Well, hopefully!
A little summer favorite for Scott and I this summer. Starring yours truly, Will Ferrel.
