San Diego was so HOT on Thanksgiving Day. I couldn't believe it. I refused to take off my sweater because I rejected the weather. Thanksgiving is supposed to have chilly weather! Right? Sweater stays on! Boy, was I sweating up a storm tho... But hey, it was a beautiful and clear day filled with silliness and laughter. I love how crazy my family can get. We went to Balboa Park. No one was there so it was very enjoyable. My Mom LOVED doing jumping pictures by the fountain. We all had a great time jumping off the fountain and snapping different poses. At one point, we had an audience watching all of us. Apparently, everyone thought we were quite entertaining. The pictures turned out AWESOME and I LOVE looking at them! =)
Thanksgiving dinner was very yummy and it was really fun (as always) hanging with Monica's side of the family again. Lots of drinking...Flaming Dr. Peppers, that is. My brother had 10, I had 4, everyone else had 1-2. The last thing I remember is smoking hookah in the backyard with everyone...and then the rest was history. Long story short: my Bro and I woke up (well, more like shot up) at 2am. The first things that came out of my mouth were, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?! We couldn't remember anything. Monica recalled everything we did before we left the house (thankfully everyone thought I was really funny, whew!), ate tamales and went back to sleep. I'm sooo glad we didn't do Black Friday this year.
During the next two days, we did shopping, ate Korean BBQ and hung out at their place. We watched tons of movies, my Mom made Filipino food and we celebrated Kenzi's birthday with cake and Monica's family.
We went home Sunday morning. Thank God we left super early this time because we bypassed all the holiday traffic in LA and got home by Noon, safe and sound. It was really cute because when I opened up the garage, Andrew was already there waiting for me with a huge smile on his face and open arms. I was so happy to be home and spent the rest of my Sunday relaxing and lounging around with Boo and the puppies.
