I Finally had a Crazy Dream

It's been a while since I had a crazy dream. I use to have them ALL the time. They were so common and so bizarre that I started to log my dreams as soon as I woke up. As I've gotten older, I haven't been dreaming as much. Either that or my dreams have been so dull that my mind decides to trash them for me. Nights of me having vivid dreams are pretty much nonexistent now.

Well, I finally had one of those vivid, crazy, awesome, weird yet beautiful dreams that I used to have continuously... AND I remembered it too! Everything felt so REAL! Some of the details were a little foggy but I'm glad I remembered most of it.

I woke up today after having this dream:

I lived in a house where Kristy (people know her as Kritty Cakes) was one of my roommates. I also lived with Kritty's friend and a gay guy who kept telling me how pretty I was and I kept telling him "No, I'm not." They all liked to hang out on my bedroom and I didn't seem to mind.

Then I went to someone's house for a dinner at a really long table. I think my family was there. When it was time to leave, everyone was driving away and all of a sudden a flash flood came (this was during sunset so despite the natural disaster, the colors in my dream were remarkable and unforgettable). There were all these people holding hands creating this human chain from the horizon to about a mile from the front of the house. They were waist-deep in water (weirdly enough everyone I noticed was a Dagny's employee or customer) and I was watching them from the top steps of the porch so I was still high and dry. Then I started hearing my name and it was a familiar voice. It was BBOY Matt and he just kept screaming my name and saying "HELP!" He was screaming, "Please help! These baby parrots are drowning! Can you swim to save them?! Hurry!"

So I started walking into the water, which was still waist deep on me and the water was reflecting the most beautiful royal purple while the sky was a subtle gradient of orange to hot pink. I saw something swimming, and I cupped my hands into the water and the first baby parrot swam into my palms. Then I saw the other one and I scooped it up really fast. I was really scared to look down at them because I didn't feel any movement, and when I did, sure enough they were dead.

I shouted back at Matt, "They're dead!" And I felt like crying...

I turned to swim back to the house as the water was rising higher and higher. The water level was almost to my chin but I managed to swim back to the house with my hands held up over the water so the dead baby parrots wouldn't get wet. As I was swimming towards the house (it seemed for an extremely long time) I started to feel warmth and movement in my hands and sure enough, the baby parrots had come back to life and they were happy and chirping. Then they turned into red roses that kept growing bigger and longer and they were caressing my face like how a little kid grabs your neck and gives you one of those big cheek-to-cheek happy hugs. It was like they were telling me "thank you" by growing around me, caressing and hugging me.

Crazy...but I enjoy having dreams like this....
