Adventures in Booville - Part 1

Saturday, we had a fun-filled Boo-tastic adventure to the land of LA. The reason why I planned this trip was one of my favorite artists, Audrey Kawasaki, had an exhibit going on until August 27th and the 20th was the only day I could go. I had always wanted to see her artwork in person. I was so humbled and just filled with wonder and awe. I got lost in her paintings and was consumed by the beautiful detail of her brush and pencil movement. Man, I wish I had talent like that. I love love love her work.

Other artists at the exhibit were Femke Hiemstra and Deedee Cheriel.

Femke Hiemstra (I especially loved the paintings she did on antique books).

I loved the colors used in Deedee Cheriel's paintings.
