Saturday woke up really early to start working on the beef stew to get ready for our Annual Pumpkin Carving at Ashley and Scott's.
After everything was ready, I made me some scrambled eggs and fried potatoes. I looked on Amazon for a good movie to rent.
I was going to rent Hanna, but I ended up renting Win Win. I enjoyed it very much. There were parts where I unexpectedly laughed so loud, I woke Andrew up.
I saw this DVD on the shelf at the record store we went to in Long Beach. When I saw the trailer for it, I got super freaked out. It looks really creepy. I kinda wanna see it, but I don't wanna see it...by myself...but I dunno, might be too much for me to handle.
I just cannot wait to see this movie....
I tried to organize the bedroom again. This time I was successful. I filled up 3 bags of Andrew's abandoned stuff and 1 big trash bag full of my stuff I haven't touched in years. I moved furniture around, vacuum in places that has never seen the light of day in years, and now the piles of clothing that were accumulating into mountains are (almost) gone. We can now watch TV in bed again! Haha...
Then we got ready for Pumpkin Carving!
Sunday, was a pretty lazy day. I woke up around 10am to my dogs just staring at me. I don't know how long they were there just watching me sleep. Kinda reminded me of Ashley's story about Priscilla when they were younger, haha. I knew they wanted to go for a walk, but I didn't feel like being pulled like a sled in the snow. So, instead I took them to the dog park where they had such a fun time. It pooped Shawn out so bad that she quit walking and exploring around and plopped down in the shade. I sat down under the tree next to her and she just watched everything. She looked really tired but very peaceful. Ptolemy stayed pretty close to us but chased dogs that passed us by. If he noticed he was too far away, he'd run right back to us. It was very cute.
When we got home, the pups knocked out. Andrew got up and made coffee and we watched episodes of The Office and Man vs. Wild.
I drew some stuff in my sketchbook. Word for Illustration Friday was "scary" so I remembered this scary dream I had when I was a kid and sketched out this magician clown man.
This was the final result.
We got ready to go eat something. Andrew wanted Thai food (of course) but Singha Thai was closed. Then we tried the Noodle Bar, and that was closed. So we ended up going to El Sombrero. I loved the way they decorated their restaurant for Halloween. When you first walk in, a life size mummy doll made scary muffled screaming sounds and his eyes moved back and forth in its sockets. It was awesome! They had a mummy hanging upside down from the ceiling along with crows, black cats and spiders everywhere. I was trying different settings on my camera so I ended up taking pictures of random things.
I wore a skirt that day.
Surprise! Went to Tutti Frutti after...haha
Then we went to Target and Andrew got a Netty Pot.
My friend Priscilla has one and she says they work. Andrew said it was a pretty crazy experience. When he did the other side, all this snot just came out of his nostril. It was pretty buck wild. He said when he was doing it, it felt like his eyes were going to pop out of his head and when he was done, he still felt like he had solution up in there. But the instructions say that the solution will eventually drain out in 10-15 minutes, that's why you should never do this process right before bed. Later, I asked him how he was feeling and he said he felt like he could breathe better. I kinda wanna try it, but I'm kinda freaked out by it.
Then we watched half of Silent Hill. It had pretty cool scary monsters and all but the plot was too inconsistent. It was very confusing to us, so we turned it off and went night night.
you look absolutely beautiful mae!
