While Monica was making her Mac and Cheese, we all got ready for the Thanksgiving feast. My brother told us to dress up really nice because we were going to take a family photo so I ended up wearing a dress and boots. After Kenzi and Millie got ready, we got super silly on Photobooth.
Aww, just like Aunty =)
After we all got ready, we headed to Mt. Helix for Susan's (Monica's sister's mother-in-law) house. They live in a really beautiful area on top of a hill. So far, the last 3 years were spent at her house. She's such a kind and welcoming lady. Actually, that's how their whole family is. =)
We couldn't find parking, so I dropped everyone off and I parked on top of the hill. It wasn't bad walking down to the house, but when I finally got there, we had forgotten to bring the Sriracha chili sauce that was still in the car. So they sent me to go back and get it, haha. Walking back up to the car felt like walking up 30 flights of stairs. I took this pic of their neighborhood as I walked down.
Food was yummy as always. Monica's mom made a Cambodian dish that was very delicious and of course they prepared the traditional Thanksgiving feast with the turkey and all the sides. I forgot to take pictures of the food...oh well. We all pretty much stuffed ourselves, watched football, played Fact or Crap, Monica's sisters and all the kids had a mini dance party in the living room and just relaxed while the kids went wild and very inventive with their playtime (at one point, they were using a laundry basket to push each other around, sliding up and down the hallway). I also got to chat with Monica's sisters and my Mom got to chat with Monica's mom.
Then it was time to do family pictures. It was really funny just trying to get everyone together and to keep all the babies still. It feels nice when our families get together. I love how our family just keeps growing and growing on all sides of our family spectrum. It seems we only get to see Monica's side of the fam only once a year! But it's always great to spend time with them.
Then I taught Kenzi how to take pictures with my camera. So she took pictures of everyone and everything, haha. Here are some of the pictures she took:

The 2 Grandmas.
Monica's Mom and Dad, w/ her sisters and bros.
Nyla, Monica's niece. Cute curly hair! She kept taking my Mom's shoes, haha.

She took a lot. You can see more of her photography on my Flickr
Then we went home to prepare for Black Friday. We were so exhausted we wanted to take a nap first. I woke up around 11:30pm and I walked into the living room to see if they had left me. But there was my brother, sprawled out on the living room passed out fast asleep while Monica was wide awake watching "Friends" sitting on the sofa. It took us a while to wake him up but finally, he burst himself out of slumber and we headed out. It was pretty exciting, cold, but exciting. This was my first Black Friday.
We went to Target where I scored a PS3 bundle (it was the last one and I was so stoked), then went to Best Buy (which was completely nuts), then we went to Denny's and had french toast and then our last destination was Radioshack. We didn't get home until 6am.
We came home and everyone was pretty much awake. I was soooo happy to be back at their apartment. I was so numb with fatigue, I didn't even want to change into PJs. I just got into bed and fell asleep.
