Weekend Shenanigans

Andrew took this picture of Ptolemy Friday night because he liked the way Ptolemy was resting his chin on his paw.

Signed up for this last week and picked up my box early Saturday morning.

I ate one the apples right away and damn they were good! The apples were the first to go...soon it will be the tangelos. I also got some arugula and mache. Didn't know what mache was until I got it in my box. Looks like a cute mini version of romaine. So leafy and green. I shared some with Jasper.

Came home, went back to sleep. I was super tired! Well, we both were because we didn't get up until 2PM. Yeah! We were a bag of lazy bones! I put on Big Bang Theory and tried to make some Tom Kah Gai soup which didn't play out very well but I know what to try next time.

I wish I could score the recipe from the ladies at Singha. They make the best! We pretty much lounged around all day until we got the hunger pains.

We just watched Big Bang Theory all day. This was my view for the next 2.5 hours. I had no motivation to do anything but be a couch potato and laugh my ass off.

Then we got hungry, got ready and went to Milt's. Andrew loves Milt's and ever since I brought my Mom there 2 weeks ago, she's become obsessed with that place too. I usually have breakfast for dinner but I really wanted a healthy burger. So, I ordered the veggie burger and Andrew ordered Chicken Fried Chicken.

Had peanut butter pie for dessert.

It was amazing!

Then we went to GM because I wanted some beer and we ran into our old friend Jacob. We talked to him for almost an hour there (the guy who worked there didn't mind), he picked up some beer and then came over. His wife, Jenny, came over after she got off work. We haven't seen this couple since they got married about a year ago, so it was really nice that they came and hung out for a little bit. We had a great time hangin' with them!

Sunday, I woke up at 6am and picked up my Mom for 7AM mass at St. Joseph's. Then we went to IHOP and had me some pancakes. I think the last time I had pancakes was Florida.

 

My Ma surprised me with a 2 dollar bill. Yay!
I happily added it to my collection.

After breakfast, we visited with my Tatang. He was being really funny. He said he wanted to exercise. I don't know where these bursts of energy are coming from but I hope they keep coming. I love how he's been more talkative and spending less time in his bed. After I dropped off my Mom, I went home and took a nap. 

We woke up, went to Sequoia and got Andrew's car wash. Then, Momo met up with us and went with us to get Andrew's poster custom framed at Michael's.

Andrew was cravin' some boba, so we went to the Tea Bar and got some coconut milk tea with boba. Then we picked up food at Rosa's where we saw Girl Alex driving, haha. Came home, ate and watched House Bunny. I love that movie. It's hilarious and I love how geeky and charming Emma Stone's character is in the movie.

Monday, I had to work. Boo! Andrew got the day off from both jobs, lucky him! That day I found out some exciting news that my friend Priscilla, is having a baby boy. She sent me a  picture of him and he looks strong! Congrats to the both of them! I just couldn't believe how much detail they can capture of a growing baby in a womb! Technology is buck wild!

Me and Em have been very excited to watch this film ever since we saw the previews.
We finally got to watch The Secret Life of Arrietty.

If you're a Studio Ghibli fan, then you will fall in love with this film. I absolutely loved it!

I wish I could go to the Ghibli Museum. I hear they play many short films that are only showed there, such as Mr. Dough and the Egg Princess. That's such a cute title for a film!!!

Gah, maybe one day!
