A Surprise I'll Never Forget

On September 8, I decided to celebrate my 30th birthday with my closest friends. I wanted to go to dinner at Tokyo Garden, do sake bombs with everyone and then go back to the house and just drink and hang out. Little did I know, these sweet people in my life had something else up their sleeve.

I started the day cleaning and getting ready for everything. Andrew said he had to leave for a little bit and he came back and surprised me with a custom cake from Frosting Inc! It was so awesome! A Hello Kitty cake! He also had them draw my glasses on her =)

Monique told me that she would take care of the reservations and everything for my dinner and I felt so bad because since I didn't really hear from her, I kinda kept bugging her and asking her if anyone was coming or if the reservations were made. And she kept saying, "I got you girl!" I was just getting so excited to celebrate my birthday...I was just thinking to myself, "OK I think I'm getting annoying I better stop bugging Mo." Then I remember Priscilla text me and asked if we could pick her and Arturo up before the dinner so we that they could drink and of course, in a heartbeat I said, "Of course!"

That day, I would get a text from Monique, Ashley and Priscilla and I remember it would always end with me texting back, "Yay! Can't wait for those sake bombs!" And they'd text back, "Yeah!!" I was getting nervous about the dinner. The closer it got to 6pm, I was getting super anxious and I didn't really hear from anyone. I was thinking to myself, "I hope everyone comes to dinner!"

When we got to Priscilla and Arturo's house, I looked and I saw Monique and Ashley and Scott's cars, and I said, "Hey Monique, Ashley and Scott is here." Then I saw Girl Alex car and Kandi and Alex's cars, and I said, "Dang! Pre-paarrrrttaaaaay!" But Priscilla didn't respond and no one came out. So I went up to the door and knocked. Priscilla opened the door and as the door slowly opened, it revealed all the girls and the guys standing and... SURPRIIIIIIISEEEE!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

All I remember was I was sooooooooo taken aback and so emotionally wowed that I couldn't really contain myself. I just kept thinking, "Wait...what's going on here?" Everyone looked so gorgeous and all dressed up! And then they gave me a card and I was shaking so bad because I just couldn't believe what was happening. I get so nervous when I get put on the spot! It was even hard to read the sweet birthday messages from everyone because tears started forming in my eyes and I saw a ticket in the card but I had no clue what it was for. I didn't even see the kickass cake that was in front of them the whole time!!! Then I kept saying, "What about dinner?" and everyone was like, "We're not going to dinner" and I was like, "What?" and they were like, "We're going there, look at your ticket." I had such teary eyes I couldn't even read the ticket but after I gained some composure, it was a ticket to Village Fest. "We know you love beer! And they'll be plenty of food to eat!" I was sooo excited because I've never been and yes! I love beer hahaha! It was the best 30th birthday surprise I could ever ask for!!!

 Everyone looked so beautiful!

Amazing Krabby Patty cake! The girls know I love SpongeBob so Girl Alex worked her magic and made one of the most coolest cakes I've ever seen. She even cut triangles into the candy slices to make them look just like tomatoes! Cray!!!

 See, I was very emotional...hahaha

After they sang Happy Birthday, Andrew and Scott took us to Village Fest at the Kern County Museum, which was a place I haven't visited since I was a little girl. I was still very overwhelmed with everything! It was a very happy day!

The line to get in reminded us of Vegas. They were playing some pretty awesome jams! When you enter, you're given a 8 oz glass and a pink card that has about 15 squares. Every time some one pours you a beer a square is supposed to be marked off. At first, we thought that it wasn't going to be enough. But little that we knew, some of the people who poured us beers didn't even mark off our squares so we all had a whole lot to drink. Of course, I got pretty drunk by the time the Fest ended. The Fest ended at 10PM and Monique and Arturo had to help me to the car hahah! I was really grateful they were there to help me. Andrew and Scott took us all back to our place where more of our friends came to hang out! I was really glad to see them all! Then everyone sang Happy Birthday to me again with Andrew's cake....Man! Two cakes! I was truly spoiled that day!

I just want to thank everyone at the the bottom of my heart who made my 30th birthday such a memorable one! I am so thankful to have such wonderful friends in my life! Words can't explain how much that day meant to me!
