Our Baby Shower 3.19.16

March 19th, my Mama and Aunty Let threw us a wonderful baby shower. Being surrounded with close family and friends to celebrate our little one coming into the world, and the little things that they did to make our baby shower so special made us feel very loved. We were so happy and thankful to see and hang out with everyone who attended. 

These decorations were made by my diva girls and Scott! So adorable! They totally went with the theme of her nursery and matched our invitations and they did an amazing job.

 Cuzin Marz came in that day and helped me run some errands before the shower.

Bro and family came in that morning too yay! He kept messing with me that he wasn't going to come and wanted to surprise me but he caved early, haha.

My Diva ladies sans Ashley and Kandi (insert heart emojis). I was so happy that Tiff came down from Oakland, meant so much to us that she traveled that far to be there.

And Aunty Chrissy came with the kids! I was so happy to see them and I was so blown away with how grown up Tatum and Mateo look now! Tatum looks like a straight up woman now and Mateo is not the little tyke I remember. So crazy how time is just flying by!

I was thankful to my Bro and my Ma for taking pictures throughout the shower. 

 

Girl Alex made this beautiful and bomb tasting cake! She's so talented! I mean come on, spun sugar! I loved it so much and my family and I finished what was left of it at home!

My Mama called everyone in to bless the food and to bless everyone.

Priscilla took charge of all the games which were pretty entertaining and fun to watch everyone participate! The poopy diaper game was the best haha. She also had everyone measure my belly with yarn. For prizes, we got gift certificates to one of my pregnancy craving restaurants, In and Out and my Dad donated a couple of bottles of wine and t-shirts to give out too. We also did a diaper raffle and Mary Helen won the Visa Gift card!

My Aunty Chrissy, kids and Maricar stayed with us while my Bro and family got a hotel room down the street. Even though I was so exhausted, I was so happy to spend time with them, especially my Aunty Chrissy. I think it's been a good solid year since we've seen each other which is pretty crazy because we've never gone that long without visiting each other. Andrew was getting all the kids riled up in the record room. He had them form a punk band and kept making them scream at the top of their lungs, "PAY UP OR WE WON'T PLAY!" with loud punk music in the background. It was a madhouse haha. The dogs and rabbit were probably like, " What the hell is happening?!?"

Sunday morning my Bro visited with Tatang and my Dad. I got to sleep in a little bit before I got up and Mars helped me make everyone breakfast while Andrew made bulletproof coffee for everyone and cleaned up the kitchen. We had waffles, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and fruit. NOM!

And the saddest part of the weekend, the goodbyes.

 

It was a super fun weekend and a very memorable baby shower. We were so overwhelmed with everyone's presence and gifts! Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special! We're very lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives to help us celebrate big moments like this!
