Islands (Cont'd) and Universal!

After we got our fill of Harry Potter World, we explored the rest of the park. As soon as we crossed into Jurassic Park, we got hungry so we headed over to the Visitor Center which looked very similar to the movie.

We got attacked by a T-Rex on the way. Just kidding.

Saw weird flowers that grew upside down in trees. Reminded me of the Lorax trees.

I tried to look scary.

They reenacted the part in the movie where a Velociraptor was hatching.

This was our view while enjoying our meals.

Then we walked over to Toon Lagoon. This part was probably our favorite place in the park after Harry Potter World. All the old comic strips and cartoons came to life in this area. It was so colorful and creative! I loved it!

So glad I spotted Wolverine! This picture cracks me up! Look at my sloppy X. Shnicky Shnicky Shnai! We also saw Storm and Rogue. I wanted to take a picture with them but their lines were too long.

Like I said before, the whole park is pretty much one big circle. So, after Marvel Super Hero Island (which wasn't really an island), we returned to the entrance, but we remembered we didn't spend a whole lot of time in Dr. Suess World because we were too preoccupied with getting to breakfast on time. So, we continued onto Dr. Suess World! At this point our dogs were barkin'!!

I loved this World too. It was so cute and colorful!

We found a ride that reminded us of the Alice and Wonderland ride at Disneyland, so to rest our aching feet, we hopped on. It was very relaxing!

Lollipops!

We were pretty much done with the whole park, so next we wanted to go check out Universal Studios. Honestly, we thought HP World would be so much bigger and have way more things, but our expectations got the best of us. We planned to knock out 2 parks in 2 days, so we a bit surprised that conquering 2 parks in one day was easily doable. HP World was still pretty amazing and fun though and so was the rest of the park! So, I suggested we go to the Magic Kingdom the next day. We were so ecstatic and tickled with the whole idea! I mean, visiting the Magic Kingdom was not on our itinerary, but we didn't want to come back to Universal the next day. Plus, since we're here, why not?

Before going to Universal Studios, we wanted to check out the pictures that we took at the beginning of our day. We both bought a picture of us holding a dinosaur egg hatching. I was so stoked because the lady who sold us the pictures told us since we bought a picture, we can use our photo card to buy any picture in the park for $5. I totally wanted to go back to HP World to buy that picture where I look like I'm being electrocuted. We asked the lady how far Disney World was in relation to Universal and she didn't have clue. She took a wild guess though and told us 1-2 hours. So, for the rest of the day while we enjoyed Universal Studios, we tried to plan out how we were going to the Magic Kingdom and how we would get back to our hotel without breaking our wallets. We were scared about cab fees and what not but I called our Hotel and they said they have a shuttle service to Disney World for $14 round trip. WE WERE SOOOO EXCITED!!!

We did Universal Studios super fast. There wasn't very much to see and it seemed very empty. Like everything was spread out way too far from each other. The park is broken up into areas with American City themes, like San Fransisco and Chicago. Our Universal Studios (California's) is waaaaaaay better!

Found an electric chair. YES!

Our feet were hurting really bad so we decided to park ourselves on the sidewalk close to Fisherman's Warf and waited for the Beatlejuice show to start.

I ended up taking pictures of the clouds. I love taking pictures of clouds an food haha. The sky was so BLUE and the clouds were so fluffy looking and huge! While waiting, I also messed around with the super slow-mo video feature on my digicam. I told Mo to fake sneeze, so I recorded it and the playback was hilarious!

Beetlejuice was cute. Super naughty with his jokes! The whole show reminded me of being a kid again. It's just how I remembered it.

I took pix with Bullwinkle and Monique spotted Spongebob so I got to take a picture with him too! Spongebob's bodyguards were so funny. They were all like, "So why do you like Gryffindor? Yeah, what's so special about Gryffindor? And don't tell me because Harry Potter is in Gryffindor..." Monique was like, "Because we care! And we're brave and have courage!" Haha it was great!

We walked around, took more pictures, watched the Animal Show and headed back to Island Adventures to buy our souvenirs.

Man, everything was so expensive! We even went back to buy that crazy picture of us at HP World. The one that was not worth $30. But since I had that photo card and the lady said that any pictures we buy in the park are now $5, I thought I'd get a fat discount. Instead, they did not honor the price cut in HP World! WTF?! Yeah, I was pretty pissed and bummed! Oh well!

We bought our souvenirs, ate dinner at Comic Strip Cafe and then headed back to our hotel. As soon as we got in, we asked the front desk about Magic Kingdom. The concierge also said that Magic Kingdom wasn't an hour or two away, it was more like 15-20 minutes! We were on cloud 9!

We went to sleep pretty early to rest up for Disney World the next day...but we ended up waking up at midnight again. We had some good conversation and then Mo went back to sleep. I remember I had trouble going back to bed. I watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith, then I tried to record Momo's snoring with my cell phone. It was funny because every time I'd sneak closer with my hand held out as far as it could go to get a good recording, she'd stop snoring. I also did some research on jet lag. Haha, time went by and I finally fell asleep. Just couldn't believe we were going to the Magic Kingdom!

To be continued!
