Fun at CALM

On Sunday, October 7th, Andrew planned to take me to CALM and of course I was super excited because I don't remember the last time I went to CALM during the day. We usually go to CALM during the Holday Lights event they do every winter season but that's usually at night so I never get to see any of the animals. Andrew was equally excited too because he couldn't wait to see the badger.Didn't know he loved badgers so much!

 

 

When we got to the petting zoo, Andrew got us some feed. All the animals were attracted to him. I ended up feeding the long eared goat and then gave the rest to Andrew so I could take pictures of him feeding the animals. Those goats were little divas, that's for sure. They all wanted that feed. Even the billy goats started head butting him, haha, I couldn't stop laughing because he kinda got scared! He said,"Boo, those little guys were strong!"

 

 This little hog, well, he's not that little. He was huge. One of the workers held a treat above his head and told him to sit, and he did, just like a dog. Smart pig! I wanted to call him Wilbur.

 

 
 

 

 Andrew took this picture. It was the first time he used my DSLR, haha. A little black goat got out of the fence and we really don't know how she got out because she was pretty wide. Andrew called her Lil Lisa.

 

 

Andrew wanted to take this badger home. He was so cute and kept yawning. I think he was ready to take a nap.

We also saw hawks, road runners, owls, eagles and all kinds of birds. When we were checking out the road runner exhibit, Andrew stuck his face close to the cage and the road runner ran up on the cage and scared him haha. It was a fun time! When we got done, we went to Sequoia for sandwiches and chili. Then we went home and watched Cabin in the Woods for the fifth time. It was a very enjoyable Sunday!
