September 17th, I officially turned the big 3-0, yikes! Andrew and I got the day off from work and I decided to go to Long Beach that day. It was perfect because my Brother and family decided to stay in Palmdale one more day (they were there for the weekend) and so they ended up going home on Monday. Instead of taking a straight shot back to San Diego, they made a pit stop in Long Beach to hang out with us which totally made my day.
I love the Aquarium of the Pacific. This is probably our second visit here and even though it's kind of small, it never gets old. We pet sting rays and moon jellyfish, we hung out with lorikeets (they weren't very friendly) and watched seals perform tricks. I enjoy watching all the species of jellyfish and seahorses. They are some of my all time favorite sea creatures.
After the aquarium, we headed to Thai Gourmet on 2nd. Which was a cute little restaurant and the food was delicious. Plus it was happy hour so my brother and I got to drink some beers together.
After dinner, we headed to Coffee Bean down the street and then after, we said our goodbyes to my family. I was so happy they came and met us. I missed them as soon as we parted ways.
Next, we decided to catch the Queen Mary to see if we could do a tour but it was too late and all the entrances were closed. But we're going to come back to do a night tour one day! It sounds creepy but I think it would be a lot of fun! Anyway, we ended up just taking pictures around the ship (I felt like I was on the set of Titanic, haha) and then we went to Fingerprints to browse around for a while. And that was how I spent my 30th birthday!
ohhhh how fun! I've been wanting to check out the long beach aq. one day! I've always wanted to do tour at the Queen Mary too. Looks like a lot of fun mae mae.
